Blessed Touch Uganda is a home for the lonely, hungry, homeless orphans in Bugiri district in eastern Uganda that was founded by a widow and her last born son, Mrs. Nakiwu Milly Were and Mr.Were Paul respectively. The experience Milly went through after losing her beloved husband urged her to kick start the orphanage set up. What was once a residential is now a happy home to 20 orphans and 10 widows. Basic needs like food, water and shelter are quite a challenge but we improvise with the widows to cultivate some food crops on the available piece of land however, kids lack adequate education and fun games to keep them lively.
We are looking forward to growing this project to a district level and put a smile on more faces across Africa. We shall be glad to partner with more kind and helpful people across the globe who really know what it feels like being an orphan or a widow.
